Amare to be opened summer 2021
January 13, 2021 – This summer, the new theatre Amare on the site of the Dr Anton Philipszaal/Lucent Danstheater will finally open it’s doors to the audience. The building will not only host halls for the Residentie Orkest and Nederlands Dans Theater, but also the entire Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
None of the participants in the movie are still working for these companies, though. Pauline and Rachel left earlier, Alice Godfrey joined Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar’s company L-E-V.

July 29, 2018 – Pauline Oostenrijk leaves Residentie Orkest from the new season on. She’ll continue playing and organizing concerts. In 2017, she released a new cd with Enno Voorhorst.
Rachel McNamee leaves NDT and joins GöteborgsOperans Danskompani from the season 2018-2019 on.
Construction works on the new theatre suffered some delay. The venue will not open until 2021.
Construction new theatre started
June 21, 2017 – Today, construction works on the theatre, which will replace the Lucent Danstheater and Dr Anton Philipszaal, officially started. Representatives of Residentie Orkest and Royal Conservatoire performed at the official happening. Instead of the third future inhabitant of the building, Nederlands Dans Theater, there was a performance by De Dutch Don’t Dance Division. In fact, the construction works started long before today.
